3 ways to style : A red dress

Haven’t we all bought dresses on a whim that we could never really wear more than a few occasions? It’s either too short or too fancy to wear on a regular day and sits in the back of your closet, ignored. This either leads to us not indulging in such dresses or wearing it to that one party we can drag ourselves to after months.

So in this series, we are going to show you how to maximise the use of these dresses, and make them appropriate to more than one scenario.

With valentine’s day around the corner,I found myself a red dress that is well… too risqué on its own. So here our three different ways I would wear it.

Keep it simple :

For the first look, I have kept the accessories minimal, as the dress is a nice and red I have matched it with golden heels, diamond earrings and my go to watch. Don’t bling – bling a red dress, the dress is your key piece here, so be subtle with accessories.

Keep your lips matte and matching, it gives you the added sultry look.

Dress : (MANGO) Blinge

Lipstick : Sephora 01

To work :

Since the dress has a plunging neckline, a loose top, or a sweater minimises the overall sauciness of the dress.

I paired it with black flats so as to not emphasise on the shortness of the dress. Belt it up to make sure your waistline isn’t lost in those layers.

Top : Marks and spencer’s

Flats : Forever 21

Bag : Charles and Keith

Belt : Thrifted from Colaba (Similar here)

Dress : Blinge

Brunch :

If you have brunch meetings, or a brunch date this would be the right mix of sexy and classy. Also wearing something this fitted would make me conscious of my food baby, so a midi skirt solves that problem right up! And let’s face it, there is only so much leg India can handle, so on days you don’t feel like it or have only waxed until your knees, this outfit lets you have your cake and eat it too, literally!!!

Do not pare such fitted dresses with stockings! you have been warned.
